We are going to talk about the foundations we need to build into our lives, so that the fire of God and the power of the Holy Spirit will not only burn in our hearts, but remain there! Leviticus 6:12a (NLT) says, "Meanwhile, the fire on the altar must be kept burning; it must not go out. Fire doesn’t fall on empty ground. It falls where something has been built. An altar to the Lord is a solid foundation! In Scripture, altars always came before encounters, before fire, before victory, before breakthrough. And when the altar was neglected, the fire faded. Are we asking God to send fire, while neglecting the foundations that sustain it? We must tend to the "altars" in our lives to have a foundation for the "fresh fire" of God to burn in our hearts! God still moves. God still ignites hearts. But embers only stay hot when the altar remains intact.
